I made this template in honor of my father-in-law who passed away Monday from cancer. He was an amazing man and a wonderful father and grandfather. He always had a smile on his face and a kind word to say. He loved the outdoors and nature. He was a park ranger at Craters of the Moon National Monument in Idaho during the summer. My kids loved going there and getting the personal tour. Whenever he would visit, he would set my teenaged son on the right path to getting his scout requirements done and working toward his Eagle. He always wanted to hear them play their band instruments when he visited and would tell them to keep playing. He enjoyed hearing them play. He was always taking pictures, sometimes more than we like but we are grateful he did. He never left me without giving me a big kiss on the cheek. The last words he said to me were “Sweet daughter,” as I hugged him last week when we visited. I cannot even describe the profound loss we are feeling. I know he has gone on to a better place and that the Lord has other things for him to do now. I feel that he will be watching over us and I know that we will see him again one day.
I’m still going to have my chat tonight at 7PM Eastern in the GDS chat room. I hope you can join me.
